Is Anacin® Aspirin Free?
Only Extra Strength Anacin® Aspirin Free contains no aspirin. Its active ingredient is Acetaminophen 500 mg. All other Anacin products contain aspirin in varying strengths.
Was Extra Strength Anacin® Aspirin Free affected by the Acetaminophen recall?
Anacin does not use Perrigo as a supplier of Acetaminophen, therefore, Extra Strength Anacin, Aspirin Free was not affected by the acetaminophen recall and is safe to use.
Which Anacin® is right for me?
Only you and/or your Doctor can determine which Anacin® product is right for your needs. However, Anacin® temporarily relieves minor aches and pains due to headache, muscular aches, menstrual cramps, the common cold, backache, toothache and minor pain of arthritis. Below are some helpful facts to help you decide which Anacin is right for you:
All Anacin® tablets are coated to protect against stomach upset.
- Anacin® contains 400 mg of aspirin, 32 mg of caffeine
- Anacin® Max Strength contains 500 mg of aspirin, 32 mg of caffeine
- Anacin® 81™ contains 81 mg of aspirin for those on an Aspirin Regimen and is caffeine free
- Anacin® Advanced Headache Formula contains 250 mg each of aspirin and acetaminophen, as well as 65 mg of caffeine
- Extra Strength Anacin® Aspirin Free contains 500 mg of Acetaminophen
Does Anacin® contain Caffeine?
Yes, most Anacin products contain caffeine. The only exception to this is Extra Strength Anacin Aspirin Free, which does not contain any caffeine.
Why does Anacin® contain Caffeine?
Caffeine additives make pain-relievers 40% more effective in treating headaches. Caffeine also helps the body absorb headache medications more quickly, bringing faster relief.
How much caffeine is in Anacin®?
Anacin contains 32 mg of caffeine, or approximately as much caffeine as in a cup of coffee. The exception to this is Anacin Advanced Headache Formula, which contains 65 mg of caffeine.
